Understanding Water and Terrorism
by H. Court Young
This book will help you understand the reasons that our
water supply and availability are so critical to our way of life, and how that
quality of life may be threatened in the coming years by terrorism.
You will discover:
The first and best defense is knowledge and awareness.
According to the American Water Works Association:
"In
many cities and small towns, the public is the first line of defense,
serving as an extra set of eyes watching over key utility assets such as
tanks, reservoirs and even fire hydrants.”
Much of what is being done to protect our water supply can only really be
effective if Americans themselves become informed and aware. |

Understanding Water Rights and Conflicts, First Edition
I published this book in 1990. It was a tribute to my father's years in the
water development business in Colorado and was my first book.
I worked with him for many years in the water development business. He was a
pioneer in the development of private water rights and projects. We worked
on a variety of water projects together. The most notable was the
development of the Vidler Tunnel and Vidler Tunnel water collection system.

The Peak Oil Crisis
In the 1960's King
Hubbert predicted that the production of oil in the United States would peak
and then decline. He was correct, and oil production peaked in the United
States in the 1970's.
Globally, predictions
range from oil production having peaked in 2005 to peaking in 2030.
Regardless, oil is a finite resource and at current usage, it will peak.
The Peak Oil Crisis and Our Water Supply
How will the Impending "Peak Oil Crisis" impact our water
supply? Energy and water are intricately linked.
Our web page Peak
Oil Crisis and Water Supply discusses this very important issue.
The books on that page are a must read for any thinking American that
wants to understand what the reduced supplies of oil will mean to our
society and world.
The author of these
two books, Kenneth Deffeyes, is Professor Emeritus at Princeton University.
For more information,
read my article entitled The Peak Oil Crisis and
Our Water Supply.
